The increase in value of the Euro against the Pound

The recent rise of the Euro against the Pound has now resulted in a price rise for the UK Van market. The Euro continues to strengthen as the Pound Sterling weakens. The European currency is up 15% against the pound since July. This has put serious pressure on manufacturers in the UK, many of which buy in their stock from the European mainland. Up to this month prices had remained fairly stable with strong competition making importers reluctant to be the first to increase their prices.     Yesterday Citroen and Renault announced list price increases for their commmercial vehicle ranges in some models the increase for Citroen has been as much as £400. All the other commercial manufacturers are expected to follow suit.

We here at 121-vans are happy to announce that because most of our stock due in this month is price protected our customers will be mainly unaffected by the price rises.
